This year, the world's most prestigious yacht cup is coming to San Francisco. It is an extreme experience with cutting edge yachts flying at speeds over 30 miles per hour. Some of the best sailing teams in the world will compete for the oldest trophy in sport history.
You will start your amazing odyssey on an elegant 50' motor yacht "Andiamo." Cruise to the edge of the exciting race and literally feel the speed and beauty. Watch a billion dollars of sailing technology from the very front row.
You and your 5 shipmates will meet at 12:00 PM at the San Francisco Yacht Club, 98 Beach Road, Belvedere, and board "Andiamo." You will then cruise over to the race venue and find a spot with spectacular viewing for the two back-to-back races scheduled for the day. After the races, you will take a beautiful tour around the San Francisco Bay to visit breath-taking sites including the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco waterfront, McCovey Cove, the new $6.4 billion dollar Bay Bridge and the world-famous AT&T Park.

It gets even better. Your group of 6 shipmates will cruise into Angel Island's Ayala Cove where you'll disembark for the evening. You'll be shuttled to the charming "Quarters 10", the restored officer's quarters at Camp Reynolds where you will step into another era. You will be staying in a gorgeous Victorian two-story mansion with a wood-burning stove, traditional kitchen and dining room, three exquisite bedrooms, a parlor with period furniture, and a perfect porch setting with waterfront views.
Angel Island is the largest island in the San Francisco Bay Area. On a clear day, Sonoma and Napa can be seen from the north side of the island and San Jose can be seen from the south side. Until about ten thousand years ago, Angel Island was connected to the mainland, but it was cut off by the rise in sea levels due to the end of the last ice age. In 1863, during the American Civil War, the U.S. Army established a camp on the island (now known as Camp Reynolds or the West Garrison). After the Civil War, Camp Reynolds became an infantry camp with over 200 soldiers, serving as a depot for recruits, and as a staging area for troops serving in campaigns against the Apache, Sioux, Modoc, and other Native American tribes.
